Hub International Ltd. has acquired the retail insurance brokerage business of Western Growers Insurance Services, which has locations in California and Arizona. This acquisition aims to enhance Hub’s offerings in the agribusiness sector, as WGIS specializes in risk mitigation and management solutions tailored to family farms growing fresh produce in the western United States. Following the acquisition, Jeff Gullickson, the president of WGIS, will lead Hub’s agribusiness practice in the region. This move is expected to complement Hub’s existing specialty practices and broaden its capabilities.
