The Türkiye Arabulucular ve Arabuluculuk Merkezleri Platformu (TURAMEP), with the support of the Türkiye Sigorta Birliği (TSB), hosted an event in Istanbul to discuss the current state and future of the mediation profession as part of Mediation Week. The two-day event featured opening remarks from TURAMEP President Av. Arb. Nihat Şimşek, TSB Vice President Ahmet Yaşar, General Director of the Legal Affairs Department of the Ministry of Justice Hakan Öztatar, and Deputy Minister of Justice Hurşit Yıldırım.
Ahmet Yaşar emphasized the growing significance of mediation within the legal system, noting its effectiveness in resolving numerous cases, particularly in human-centric sectors like insurance. The event also welcomed participation from SEDDK Deputy Chair Hande Hatunoğlu Kurtulan and TSB General Secretary Özgür Obalı, underlining the collaborative efforts to enhance mediation practices in Turkey.
