On October 24, 2024, the Insurance Information and Monitoring Center (SBM) conducted an educational session in collaboration with the Insurance Fraud Prevention Bureau (SİSEB) and the Turkish Insurance, Reinsurance, and Pension Companies Association (TSB). The training was led by legal expert and orthopedics and traumatology specialist, Dr. Serdar Şirazi.
The session covered critical topics including the definitions and legal framework surrounding disability and incapacity, the medical criteria utilized for the issuance of disability reports, the evaluation process for incapacity reports, and current legal regulations and legislation concerning bodily injury and personal accident insurance.
This initiative aims to enhance understanding and compliance with the regulations governing these essential aspects of insurance in Turkey.
