Dish Network Corp. is currently in negotiations with a group of creditors in an attempt to settle a lawsuit regarding the transfer of assets that some bondholders claim was controversial. The talks could commence as soon as this week and may include discussions to extend a $2 billion bond set to mature on November 15th. The lawsuit, filed in April, seeks to reverse several asset transfers that aimed to secure Dish’s financial position amidst its shift from pay-TV to wireless services. Discussions are ongoing regarding new financing plans that would involve some of the assets implicated in the lawsuit.
