Ivor Jallah, a pharmacy owner from Dallas, has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for his role in a $41 million health insurance fraud scheme. Jallah bilked insurance companies by billing for medications that were never actually dispensed to patients, allegedly submitting at least $46 million in fraudulent claims. He also paid marketers for access to patients’ personal information and directed employees to forge prescriptions and delivery logs. Alongside Jallah, his co-conspirator Shannon Turley is also facing sentencing after pleading guilty to similar charges.
