Halil İbrahim Ece Re-Elected As SAAD President, Promises Reform

The Insurance Intermediaries and Agents Association (SAAD), a prominent civil society organization in Türkiye’s insurance sector, held its Ordinary General Assembly in Istanbul. Halil İbrahim Ece, a distinguished figure in the insurance industry, has been re-elected as the General President for a second term.

Ece is noted for his active involvement in various civil society organizations, contributing to numerous projects throughout his career. He currently serves as the President of the All Business Community Association (TÜMİD) and has held roles in several significant organizations including BATSİAD, ZONSİAD, ZONDEF, MİLAD, KARAKDER, and KASTOB. Additionally, he represents the insurance sector as a delegate to the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce under the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB).

In addition to his extensive involvement in the business community, Ece is a candidate for the 28th term of the Turkish Parliament from the Yeniden Refah Party and has served as the party’s deputy chairman in Istanbul. He continues his political pursuits as the Deputy Chair of STK Relations for the Yeniden Refah Party and holds responsibilities in Zonguldak province.

During the congress, Ece emphasized his commitment to addressing the challenges faced by insurance agents and pledged to elevate the profession to its deserving status. The newly elected board of SAAD is composed of 20 members, including Ece and prominent figures such as Seda Aytar, Selim Hacıhasanoğlu, and Hasan Toplu, among others.

The newly constituted board plans to hold its first meeting to distribute responsibilities and expedite their initiatives.
