The Turkish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry held an online briefing on February 24, featuring Dr. Osman YILDIZ, General Director of Agricultural Reform and Chairman of the TARSİM Board, alongside experts in Crop Insurance and Animal Life Insurance. The meeting included Kamil ÖZDEMİR, Head of the Agricultural Insurance and Natural Disasters Department, and Bekir ENGÜRÜLÜ, General Manager of the Agricultural Insurance Pool Operations.
Dr. YILDIZ emphasized the growing significance of the State-Supported Agricultural Insurance System and outlined the Ministry’s new agricultural production planning and support models. He highlighted the crucial role of experts within the system and discussed expectations for 2024, including initiatives set to be implemented in 2025. Key topics of focus were guidelines for damage assessment and risk investigation processes, as he encouraged the experts to excel in their responsibilities.
