The 3rd International Insurance Fair and Congress, organized in collaboration with the Turkish Insurance Union (TSB) and the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), featured a notable panel discussion on “Insurance in the Turkic World.” Moderated by Aysun Yıldız Özer, the Deputy Secretary-General of TSB, the panel brought together key industry leaders including Ziya Aliyev, Executive Director of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan; Börte Kağan Barlasoğlu, President of the Insurance and Reinsurance Companies Union of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (KKTC); Elmar Mirsalayev, CEO of the Azerbaijan Insurance Association; and Atilla Benli, General Manager of Zürich Life Insurance.
The panel delved into the developments of the Turkic World Regional Insurance Council, established in May 2022, discussing strategic pathways and collaborative opportunities within the insurance sector across Turkic nations. The exchange aimed to enhance cooperation and facilitate growth within the region’s insurance industry.
