Innovative Updates Unveiled For Agricultural Insurance By 2025

On December 6, TARSİM (Agricultural Insurance Pool) held an informative meeting at its headquarters in Istanbul, attended by representatives from insurance companies participating in the State-Supported Agricultural Insurance System. The meeting aimed to present the developments and new regulations anticipated for the year 2025.

Notable attendees included Kamil Özdemir, Director-General of Agricultural Reform at the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Işıl Şekerci Konya, Director at the Insurance and Private Pension Regulation and Supervision Agency (SEDDK), and Bekir Engürülü, General Manager of the Agricultural Insurance Pool. During the meeting, Engürülü emphasized that the System has evolved significantly due to the dedicated efforts of all stakeholders, including the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry and the Ministry of Finance. He stated that there is a continuous aim to enhance the agricultural sector and support farmers in Turkey.

Özdemir and Konya expressed their satisfaction with engaging directly with representatives from the agriculture insurance sector, highlighting the importance of the shared views and suggestions from participants. The meeting also provided a platform for attendees to pose questions related to agricultural insurance, fostering a collaborative exchange of ideas.
