The second destination for the promotional and informational meetings on State-Supported Agriculture Insurance was Kırşehir, Turkey. As part of an initiative led by Agriculture and Forestry Minister İbrahim YUMAKLI to enhance the adoption of agricultural insurance, these meetings aim to raise awareness and increase the number of insured farmers nationwide.
On September 26, a meeting was held at the Kırşehir Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry, organized in collaboration with the Ministry’s provincial and district offices and TARSİM (Agricultural Insurance Pool). Key participants included Kamil ÖZDEMİR, the Head of the Agricultural Insurance and Natural Disasters Department at the Ministry, and Bekir ENGÜRÜLÜ, General Manager of the Agricultural Insurance Pool Operations. They were joined by Kırşehir Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry Mustafa İLMEÇ, local officials, representatives from civil society organizations, insurance agents, and agricultural producers.
The initiative demonstrates the government’s commitment to bolstering agricultural resilience through effective insurance mechanisms, aiming to safeguard against natural disasters and economic risks in farming.
