The Çanakkale Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Insurance Profession Committee recently held discussions focusing on the development of the insurance sector and the challenges faced by agencies. Key topics included strategies for reducing coverage gaps, increasing insurance penetration rates, and necessary initiatives in Organized Industrial Zones (OIZs) in accordance with regulations. The committee also addressed the digital transformation of insurance agencies and the need for updated business models to reflect current conditions.
A significant outcome of the meeting was the decision to share Bozcaada Municipality’s successful practice of refraining from issuing licenses to uninsured businesses across all professional committees in Turkey. The ÇTSO Insurance Profession Committee was commended for their proactive efforts.
Members of the SAB Executive Board and the ÇTSO Insurance Committee agreed to enhance their collaborative efforts moving forward. Special thanks were extended to the hosts for their hospitality.
