Ahmet Yaşar, Vice Chairman of the Turkey Insurance Association and Chairman of the Maher Holding Insurance Group, addressed the audience at the Azerbaijan Insurtech Summit held at the Baku Conference Center. The event, organized collaboratively by the Azerbaijan Central Bank, the Azerbaijan Insurers Association, and the Turkey InsurTech Hub, focused on sharing Turkey’s digital insurance infrastructure experience.
Key participants included Azerbaijan’s Minister of Digital Development and Transport, Reşat Nebiyev, Central Bank Chairman Taleh Kazımov, General Director of the Azerbaijan Insurers Association Elmar Mirsalayev, and other prominent figures from both Turkish and Azerbaijani insurance sectors.
During his speech, Yaşar emphasized the necessity of extending the concept of “collaboration” in the insurance sector across the Turkic world. He stated, “This partnership approach, which began with our brother country, is a tangible reflection of our plan to expand the ‘collaboration’ understanding throughout the Turkic geography.” He expressed excitement about the upcoming “Turkic World Insurance Forum,” which will have its inaugural meeting in Azerbaijan.
Yaşar highlighted the nearly two-hundred-year experience and knowledge of Turkey’s insurance industry as a valuable asset to the Azerbaijani insurance market and its professionals. He expressed hope that the Azerbaijan Insurtech Summit would pave the way for fruitful cooperation and results beneficial to both nations.
