At the #SwissDays 2024 event, a panel titled “Breaking the Glass Ceiling or Demolishing the Maze?: The Career Battles of Women” was held under the moderation of Yılmaz Yıldız, CEO of Zurich Insurance Group Turkey. Esteemed guests including ahuserter, selenkocabas, and selenoakcali contributed to discussions around the role of women in the workforce, the challenges they face, pivotal moments in their careers, and potential solutions to these issues.
Notably, it was highlighted that the probability of finding a job decreases by 30% for women who take career breaks for childbirth. Furthermore, it was emphasized that merely integrating women, such as those in textile jobs, into the workforce may not be sufficient, as they often have to allocate their earnings to their spouses.
The dialogue pointed to the necessity for leaders to equalize the conditions of the workforce maze for all genders.
