4th International Insurance Summit Held in Istanbul
TSB's summit ran 29-30 September 2025 at Swissôtel The Bosphorus, with a mid-September announcement highlighting an AXA-led digital future session.

The fourth edition of the International Insurance Summit, held every year by TSB (Türkiye's insurance and pension industry association), took place on 29-30 September 2025 at Istanbul's Swissôtel The Bosphorus. Ahead of the summit, an announcement made on 20 September 2025 had shared the standout sessions on the programme.
Session highlighted in the announcement
According to the announcement, the summit included a session titled "A Dialogue on the Digital Future of Insurance in Europe and Türkiye: Innovation, Regulation and Cooperation Across Insurance Ecosystems." Speakers announced for the session included TSB Non-Life Management Committee Member and AXA Türkiye CEO Yavuz Ölken and AXA International Markets CEO Hassan El-Shabrawishi. The announcement also said more than 560 participants were expected at the summit; the gathering was said to be expected to increase the exchange of information among sector professionals and encourage innovative solutions.
How did the summit go?
The summit was held on the planned dates. Opening remarks were given by SEDDK Chair Davut Menteş and TSB Chair Uğur Gülen. Under the theme "The Digital Future: How Technology Is Transforming the Insurance Sector," the two-day programme featured 7 panels and 4 special presentations; the event reached 2,000 participants. The agenda included artificial intelligence, data analytics, digital transformation, sustainability and climate risks. Speakers included Insurance Europe Director General Thea Utoft Høj Jensen; in a session moderated by Özgür Obalı, representatives of S&P, PwC, EBRD and UNSAR spoke.
Opening event of the 14th Insurance Week
The summit was the opening event of the 14th Insurance Week, held from 29 September to 5 October 2025. Over the course of the week, alongside the summit, an international conference, an insurance fair and various social events were held; the 4th Insurance Sector Cooperation Fair and Congress, held on 1-3 October, was also part of the same week.
