Global professional services firm Aon has appointed Andy Desmond as the new head of construction for its UK Commercial Risk division, effective July 1, 2026. Bringing over 25 years of experience from his role at Marsh UK and as a former insurance manager at Kier Group, Desmond aims to enhance Aon’s construction practice by focusing on risk placement, strategic advisory, and innovative construction methods. His appointment underscores the firm’s commitment to addressing the evolving challenges in project management, including regulatory complexities and supply chain disruptions. Desmond will report to Rob Kemp, CEO of Commercial Risk for Aon in the UK.
