Brown & Brown, an insurance brokerage firm, has acquired the assets of The Canopy Group, a Minnesota-based multiline insurance agency that primarily serves personal lines and commercial property and casualty for small businesses. The Canopy Group, located in Le Sueur and catering to over 16,000 customers, will continue its operations under the leadership of Paul Borchert and Jeff McDonald. The executives expressed their enthusiasm for utilizing Brown & Brown’s extensive market capabilities to enhance services for their current customer base. Rich Knudson, a senior vice president at Brown & Brown, highlighted the strong reputation of The Canopy Group in Minnesota and the benefits of integrating its customer service model into their existing operations.
