Ford Faces Dual Recall Investigations Amid Quality Struggles

Latest News

Ford Motor Company is currently under investigation by U.S. auto safety regulators regarding two recent recalls related to quality issues in its vehicles. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is examining a recall involving over 450,000 Bronco Sport SUVs and Maverick pickup trucks due to the risk of engine power loss, alongside another recall of more than 100,000 Expedition SUVs concerning potentially faulty seat belt systems. These probes reflect Ford’s ongoing struggles with vehicle quality, exacerbated by a recent settlement that included a $165 million penalty for failing to recall vehicles with defective rearview cameras in a timely manner. Ford has stated that it is cooperating with the NHTSA’s investigations as it attempts to address these quality concerns.
