Mosaic Insurance has appointed Toby Smith as the Chief Executive Officer for the Americas, effective immediately, and will be based in New York. In his new role, Smith will lead market engagement and focus on profitable growth across the US, Canada, and other areas in the Americas, particularly overseeing product development in the firm’s major divisions, including transactional liability and cyber insurance. With over 20 years of experience in specialty insurance, most recently as Chief Underwriting Officer at Liberty Mutual, Smith is expected to drive continued expansion and innovation for Mosaic. Co-CEO Mitch Blaser expressed confidence that Smith’s extensive background will significantly contribute to the company’s growth ambitions in the specialty lines sector.
