Sean M. Dalton, Executive Vice President at Munich Reinsurance America Inc., has been elected as the chair of the American Institute of Marine Underwriters (AIMU). He takes over from Anthony Cowie of Swiss Re, with Karen Griswold from Chubb stepping in as Vice Chair and Brian Murphy from Berkley Offshore Underwriting Managers assuming the position of Director of Finances. Dalton has over a decade of experience at Munich Re and is actively involved in several marine insurance organizations, including his role as Chair of the National Cargo Bureau. AIMU President John Miklus praised Dalton’s leadership and expressed gratitude to outgoing Chair Cowie for his contributions over the past two years.
