HDI Global SE has announced the appointment of Dr. Stefan Pasternak as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), succeeding Dr. Christian Hermelingmeier, who will transition to CFO at Hannover Re in April 2025. Pasternak, who currently serves as CFO of Munich Re subsidiary Great Lakes Insurance SE, brings over 25 years of international experience within the Munich Re Group, including leadership roles in Turkey and South Korea. Under Hermelingmeier’s leadership since September 2020, HDI Global saw a significant increase in foreign business share and a notable rise in net income. The transition is pending approval from the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin).
