However, he emphasized that growth would be constrained by the capacity to underwrite risks, suggesting that substantial expansion opportunities would unfold over the coming decades rather than the next few years. Léger pointed out the challenges posed by global correlations in cyber risk, which diminish diversification and amplify pressures on insurers. He concluded that a significant cyber incident could potentially drive more capacity into the market, stressing the current discrepancy between gross and net capacity available for clients.
