A promotional meeting for the State-Supported Greenhouse Insurance was held on December 26 in Aksu district, Antalya, hosted by the Western Mediterranean Agricultural Research Institute (BATEM).
The meeting was attended by key figures including Kamil Özdemir, Head of the Agricultural Insurance and Natural Disasters Department at the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Bekir Engürülü, General Manager of the Agricultural Insurance Pool, and Asım Karabulut, Deputy Director of Antalya’s Provincial Directorate of Agriculture and Forestry. Numerous producers, cultivators, and officials from provincial and district agricultural offices, as well as representatives from agricultural chambers and TARSİM regional management, also participated.
Asım Karabulut opened the meeting, followed by speeches from Bekir Engürülü and Kamil Özdemir. Additionally, symbolic damage payment checks were presented to insured producers and cultivators whose greenhouses were affected this year.
A significant portion of the meeting was dedicated to answering questions from producers, concluding with a detailed discussion addressing all inquiries raised.
The overarching message emphasized the vital role of agricultural insurance in securing the future of farming practices.
