TARSİM Participates in the International Balkan Agriculture Congress
TARSİM Board Member and General Manager of the Agricultural Insurance Pool, Bekir ENGÜRÜLÜ, along with the TARSİM delegation, attended the opening of the ‘International Balkan Agriculture Congress’ (IBAC), held from October 16-19, 2023. The event was coordinated by the Trakya Universities Union and hosted by Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University.
The congress aimed to share current research on innovative approaches to agriculture, food, and water resources. It also sought to define policies that address the challenges faced by agricultural products and to develop new national and international research programs. During the panel titled ‘Planned Production Period and New Support Mechanisms,’ moderated by Prof. Dr. Sibel TAN from the Faculty of Agriculture’s Department of Agricultural Economics, notable speakers included İhsan EMİRALİOĞLU, Deputy General Manager of Plant Production at the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Neşe İLOĞLU from the Turkish Patent and Trademark Office, Prof. Dr. Gökhan ÖZERTAN from Boğaziçi University, and Bekir ENGÜRÜLÜ.
General Manager ENGÜRÜLÜ provided insights into the TARSİM system and its applications, engaging with attendees by answering questions regarding agricultural insurance.
