A delegation from Turkey, led by Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Dr. Ahmet Bağcı, visited Uzbekistan to establish a framework for the Turkish Agricultural Insurance System (TARSİM). The team included key figures such as the General Director of Agricultural Reform, Dr. Osman Yıldız, and Barış Taşkesen, Vice Chairman of the Insurance and Private Pension Regulation and Supervision Agency.
During the visit, the TARSİM delegation engaged with officials from Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Presidential Agency for Future Projects, and parliamentary representatives. The discussions focused on creating a working group to facilitate the development of an Agricultural Insurance System tailored for Uzbekistan. A roadmap was outlined to guide the systematic establishment of this insurance model, which aims to enhance agricultural resilience in the region.
This initiative is part of broader efforts to support agricultural stability and risk management in Uzbekistan.
