International Automobile Experts Gather in Athens to Discuss Future of Mobility

The International Federation of Automobile Experts (FIEA) held its Board Meeting and General Assembly from October 24-26, 2024, in Athens, Greece. Representatives from 23 member countries participated, including experts from Greece and the Republic of Cyprus. Notably, Ahmet Nedim Erdem, Chairman of the Insurance Experts Executive Committee, represented Turkey as a board member.

1. Initiatives on Carbon Footprint in collaboration with CEPLIS (European Council of Liberal Professions) and FIEA,
2. Introduction of Hydrogen Technologies and Transportation Applications,
3. The contribution of electromobility to climate change within the scope of transportation and urban mobility,
4. Digitalization in damage management, road safety, and modern automation expertise,
5. Assessment of damages using Artificial Intelligence,
6. The prevention of motorcycle accidents through Cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems (C-ITS),
7. Insights and solutions from the perspective of forensic traffic accident experts regarding traffic accident puzzles.

Furthermore, the FIEA website now features the names and contact information of Turkish automobile experts alongside their European counterparts. The Insurance Experts Executive Committee reaffirmed its commitment to strengthen the reputation of Turkey’s insurance expertise as a reliable third party serving automobile safety in alignment with European standards.
