Uğur Gülen, President of the Turkish Insurance Association (TSB), discussed the future goals of the organization and the current state of insurance and Individual Pension System (BES) in Turkey during his appearance on the Poliçe program, hosted by İclal Aydıngöz on TRT Radio 1. Emphasizing the industry’s comprehensive ecosystem that includes a diverse range of stakeholders—such as agents, experts, regulatory bodies, banks, brokers, health organizations, relevant ministries, and repair shops—Gülen asserted that improving public awareness of insurance is crucial. He stated, “We will elevate the recognition of insurance in our country by working closely with the entire ecosystem.”
Gülen also expressed a desire to shift the industry focus away from traffic insurance, stressing its dominant presence in public discourse. He highlighted the need to prioritize awareness regarding the potential Marmara Earthquake, asserting, “We must engage in deeper discussions and initiatives concerning the earthquake and the necessary preparations.”
