The “Management of Fire and Other Risks in Hotels” seminar, organized in collaboration with the Turkish Insurance Association (TSB) and Ürgüp Municipality, drew significant interest from industry stakeholders. Held at the Ürgüp Mustafa Resort Cappadocia, the panel focused on the crucial role of the insurance sector and the management of fire risks.
In his opening remarks, Ürgüp Mayor Ertuğrul Bul highlighted the importance of collaboration with the insurance industry, emphasizing the necessity of conducting risk analyses before issuing insurance policies for large facilities. TSB President Uğur Gülen reinforced this message, noting the insurance sector’s critical role in mitigating and preventing fire risks. TSB Vice President Ahmet Yaşar referred to the lasting impact of the recent hotel fire in Kartalkaya, stressing the need for urgent actions and lessons learned from such incidents.
The seminar also featured a presentation by Dr. Ceyhun Eren, Senior Technical Director at Allianz, who discussed practical solutions for minimizing fire risks while also shedding light on technological advancements in the field. His insights were well received, underlining the importance of proactive risk management in the hospitality sector.
