The Turkey Mediators and Mediation Centers Platform (TURAMEP), in collaboration with the Turkish Insurance Association (TSB), hosted an event in Istanbul during Mediation Week, focusing on the current state and future of the mediation profession. The two-day event featured opening speeches by notable figures including TURAMEP President Av.Arb. Nihat Şimşek, TSB Vice President Ahmet Yaşar, Director General of Legal Affairs at the Ministry of Justice Hakan Öztatar, and Deputy Minister of Justice Hurşit Yıldırım.
Ahmet Yaşar emphasized the increasing significance of mediation within the legal system, particularly highlighting its effectiveness in resolving numerous cases in people-centric sectors like insurance. The event also welcomed Hande Hatunoğlu Kurtulan, Deputy Chair of the SEDDK, and TSB Secretary General Özgür Obalı, both contributing to discussions on the vital role of mediation in contemporary legal frameworks.
