The Turkey Mediators and Mediation Centers Platform (TURAMEP), with the support of the Turkey Insurance Association (TSB), hosted an event in Istanbul as part of Mediation Week, focusing on the current and future state of the mediation profession. The two-day event featured opening remarks from TURAMEP President Attorney Mediator Nihat Şimşek, TSB Vice President Ahmet Yaşar, Hakan Öztatar, General Director of Legal Affairs at the Ministry of Justice, and Deputy Minister of Justice Hurşit Yıldırım.
In his address, TSB Vice President Ahmet Yaşar emphasized the growing importance of mediation in the legal system, highlighting its effectiveness in resolving numerous cases in people-centric sectors such as insurance. The event also welcomed participation from regulatory officials, including Hande Hatunoğlu Kurtulan, Deputy Chair of the SEDDK, and TSB Secretary General Özgür Obalı.
