The Insurance Information and Monitoring Center (SBM) has issued a directive regarding the procedures and principles for recording data in the General Database. According to Circular 2023/24, insurance agencies must begin using corporate email addresses by March 29, 2024, with oversight responsibilities held by the Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB).

The guide prepared by SBM states that any registered agents whose authorized user email addresses do not conform to the corporate email standards will have their subordinate user accounts deactivated within the SBM system as of March 29, 2024.

It is imperative for registered insurance agents to acquire corporate email addresses by March 29, 2024, update their registry information accordingly, and ensure that subordinate user accounts are aligned with the corporate email format in the SBM system.
