Amazon has filed a lawsuit against the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), alleging that the agency unlawfully interfered in a union election at its warehouse in Staten Island, New York, and that its structure is unconstitutional. The lawsuit seeks to prevent the NLRB from enforcing a ruling that upheld the results of the election, in which workers voted to unionize in 2022. Amazon contends that the NLRB’s enforcement procedures violate constitutional rights, including the separation of powers, and the right to a jury trial. The case adds to a wave of similar legal actions by various companies challenging the legitimacy of the NLRB in labor-related matters.
