MS Amlin, a global re/insurer under Lloyd’s, reported a half-year profit of £87 million for 2024, representing an increase of £83 million compared to the previous year. The company’s underwriting profits rose to £116 million, aided by improved investment returns and lower discounting volatility, resulting in a lower combined ratio of 84.5%. Additionally, net premiums earned surged by nearly 30% to £744 million, with gross written premiums growing approximately 11%.
