The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has closed its investigation into 411,000 Ford vehicles due to issues related to potential engine power loss. This inquiry began in July 2022 after concerns arose regarding the valvetrain in Ford Bronco models with 2.7L EcoBoost engines. The investigation was later expanded to include additional models such as the Ford Edge, F-150, Explorer, and Lincoln Aviator. Ford has implemented a recall for 90,000 vehicles and is offering an extended warranty for up to 10 years or 150,000 miles to address the problem, although the company has reported no known crashes or injuries linked to the issue.
