According to recent data, the number of participants in the Voluntary Individual Pension System (BES) benefiting from state support limits rose significantly from 94,122 in 2021 to 128,198 in 2023. This uptick reflects a growing interest in retirement savings and the government’s support for such initiatives.
Moreover, the proportion of the contribution amounts made by these benefitting individuals has also grown. In 2021, their contributions accounted for 30% of the total contributions made by all BES participants, which increased to 35% by 2023. This upward trend indicates a rising engagement with the pension scheme as more individuals take advantage of the benefits offered under the program.
These developments underscore the increasing importance of the BES and the government’s commitment to encouraging private retirement savings through attractive incentives.
