On June 6, TARSİM held a comprehensive Insurance Companies Informational Meeting at its headquarters in Istanbul, aimed at strengthening the sustainable agriculture initiative by securing the efforts of farmers. The meeting was attended by representatives from insurance companies participating in the State-Supported Agricultural Insurance System, along with TARSİM’s management team, including Board Member and General Manager Bekir Engürülu, Deputy General Managers Tufan Özel and Ertuğrul Çelik, and various department heads.
During the meeting, General Manager Engürülu provided a thorough evaluation of the State-Supported Agricultural Insurance System for 2023, discussing key topics such as insurance coverage rates, production data, ongoing field evaluations, and claims paid out. He emphasized the system’s success at both national and international levels, attributing achievements to the dedicated collaboration with various stakeholders, including the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, and the Insurance and Private Pension Regulatory and Supervision Authority (SEDDK). Engürülu also indicated that preparations for the year 2025 have commenced, inviting participants to share their insights and suggestions regarding future developments.
