A delegation from TARSİM, led by Management Board Member and General Manager Bekir Engürülü, held online meetings on April 16-17 with officials from Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Economy and Finance, including Deputy Minister Akhadbek Haydarov and key department heads. The discussions focused on the potential establishment of a state-supported agricultural insurance system in Uzbekistan, based on Turkey’s TARSİM model. The Uzbek delegation shared their progress and emphasized the increasing significance of agricultural insurance, especially in light of climate change impacts on agricultural activities. They proposed the formation of a joint working group to enhance collaboration.
Engürülü expressed his willingness to share TARSİM’s extensive experience in agricultural insurance and expressed hopes for a successful partnership that would benefit both nations.
