TARSİM (Agricultural Insurance Pool) officials, including General Manager Bekir Engürülu and Deputy General Manager Tufan Özel, conducted a series of visits in Antalya on November 21-22. The delegation’s agenda began with visits to local greenhouses, where they engaged with producers to emphasize the importance of utilizing agricultural insurance. They highlighted that insurance should be regularly secured, backed by a 50% state premium subsidy and various discounts to mitigate risks.
Subsequently, the TARSİM team met with Şakir Fırat Erkal, the Provincial Director of Agriculture and Forestry, to discuss the State-Supported Agricultural Insurance System. The discussions focused on current and future strategies for promoting the system and enhancing producer satisfaction in the region.
During the visit, the TARSİM delegation also attended the Growtech Fair, a significant event that unites global agricultural professionals and stands as one of the largest organizations in greenhouse agriculture.
On the second day of their program, the delegation visited Abidin Cüneyt Erdoğan, the Antalya Regional Director of Agricultural Credit Cooperatives. They discussed the implementation of the State-Supported Agricultural Insurance System and recognized the critical role of stakeholder institutions in expanding its reach and improving farmer satisfaction.
