TARSİM participated in the 8th International Perspectives in Banking and Finance Congress held in Ankara from May 23 to 25, organized in collaboration with Hacı Bayram Veli University’s Faculty of Financial Sciences and Eastern Mediterranean University’s Banking and Finance Department. The congress featured discussions on current trends and developments in banking and insurance sectors, attracting numerous practitioners, academics, and industry representatives from both domestic and international spheres.
On the opening day, notable speakers included Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University Dean Prof. Dr. Haşim Özüdoğru, Eastern Mediterranean University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Salih Katırcıoğlu, Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Kürşat Göktürk, and Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Strategy and Budget Authority Kutluhan Taşkın. Notably, TARSİM’s Board Member and Director of the Agriculture Insurance and Natural Disasters Department Kamil Özdemir participated in the session titled “Turkey Policies,” delivering a presentation on “Sustainability in Agriculture and Agricultural Insurance.” Özdemir highlighted the State-Supported Agricultural Insurance System, asserting its role as a model for global agricultural insurance practices.
During the event, Prof. Dr. Haşim Özüdoğru presented a plaque to Özdemir in recognition of TARSİM’s contributions. Expressing his gratitude, Özdemir emphasized the organization’s satisfaction in participating in the congress.
The congress will continue for three days, with TARSİM’s stand providing attendees with insights and information on agricultural insurance and its applications throughout the event.
