Insurance Australia Group (IAG) is launching an initiative to deploy 150 staff members, referred to as “activators,” who will be responsible for integrating Generative AI (Gen AI) tools within the company. IAG’s Chief Operating Officer, Neil Morgan, introduced this “inclusive innovation” strategy at the Guidewire Connections 2024 conference, emphasizing the need for a structured approach to maximize the capabilities of AI tools across various company functions. The activators will support colleagues in using AI for a range of applications, from enhancing data services to developing custom generative AI solutions. Morgan believes this initiative will drive significant culture change and engagement at IAG, positioning the company to better leverage technological advancements in the insurance industry.
