On March 19, 2024, the Afyon Insurance Agents Association (AFSAD) raised an issue concerning the uncanceled comprehensive insurance policy of Mellce Insurance, whose operations were halted. AFSAD highlighted the grievance by contacting the Guarantee Fund regarding a customer affected by the uncanceled comprehensive policy.AFSAD reported that the customer was unable to obtain a comprehensive insurance policy from another company, resulting in a significant inconvenience. AFSAD requested the cancellation of the Mellce policy and shared the response received from the Guarantee Fund. The Guarantee Fund officials stated that for the policy to be canceled, the customer must forgo any existing claims and refund entitlements.AFSAD emphasized that this proposal was unacceptable and felt the need to inform relevant parties to address the issue.
